There is a common hypothesis in The Netherlands that windmills don’t fit in the landscape. This is in our eyes and neither a technical nor an aesthetical, but a semantic problem. It is not about how wind mills look like, it is about how they are perceived and about what we expect our landscape to be.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
